Acceptable Use Policy

This policy applies to everyone who uses Orbinly, including the people they invite. It is part of our Terms of Service.

1. The basics

Use Orbinly lawfully and respectfully. You are responsible for everything done through your account and your workspace, including by team members, client contacts and any automations or integrations you set up. If something here is unclear, ask us at hello@orbinly.com before you act.

2. Content you must not upload, store or send

  • anything illegal, or that helps someone commit a crime;
  • content that infringes copyright, trademarks, trade secrets, privacy or other rights;
  • child sexual abuse material, or any sexual content involving minors, which we report to the authorities;
  • content that threatens, harasses, defames or incites violence or hatred against a person or group;
  • fraud, scams, phishing, deceptive or misleading invoices, or impersonation of another person or business;
  • malware, or anything designed to damage or gain unauthorised access to systems or data;
  • other people’s personal data that you have no right to hold, or protected health information or other regulated data we have not agreed in writing to handle; and
  • stolen, counterfeit or pirated goods or services.

3. Emails and messages

Orbinly sends emails for you, such as invitations, invoices, reminders and notifications. You must have the right to contact each recipient and must follow the anti-spam and marketing laws that apply, such as the US CAN-SPAM Act and the GDPR and ePrivacy rules in the EU and UK. In particular:

  • do not use Orbinly to send bulk or unsolicited commercial email, or to email people from a bought or scraped list;
  • only invite people with whom you have a genuine business relationship;
  • do not disguise who a message is from, or make its subject or content misleading; and
  • stop contacting someone who asks you to stop.

4. Security and the platform

  • Do not probe, scan or test the security of Orbinly, or try to bypass authentication, limits or access controls, without our written permission.
  • Do not overload the Service, or use bots, scrapers or scripts to access it other than through our published API within its limits.
  • Do not access another workspace’s data, or try to, even if you find a way.
  • Do not reverse engineer the Service, or copy it to build a competing product.
  • Do not share API keys or logins, or use them in public code.

If you find a security problem, please tell us at security@orbinly.com and give us a reasonable time to fix it before you share it. Good-faith research that follows this section, avoids other people’s data and does not disrupt the Service will not lead us to take legal action.

5. Payments and regulated activity

You may not use Orbinly to take payments for anything that Stripe prohibits or restricts. See Stripe’s list of prohibited and restricted businesses. You may not use the Service to run a financial, gambling, adult-content, weapons or drug business, or to give regulated advice, unless you have the licences the law requires and we have agreed in writing.

6. AI features

If you turn on the optional AI features you must also follow our AI provider’s usage policy. Do not use AI to deceive people, to generate unlawful content, to process health or other regulated data, to make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on a person without human review, or to try to get around the safeguards. See section 10 of the Terms of Service.

7. What happens if the policy is broken

We may investigate, remove content, limit features, suspend or close an account, refuse to restore it, and report illegal activity to the authorities. We try to give a warning first where it is safe and appropriate, but we do not have to, particularly for serious or repeated breaches or where there is a risk to others. We may share information with law enforcement and affected parties where the law allows.

8. Reporting abuse

To report content or behaviour that breaks this policy, or a copyright concern, write to us.

9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time and will tell customers of material changes in the same way as for the Terms of Service.
