Mention teammates, and get told when a task is assigned to you

  • In Team Comms, type @ and pick a teammate to mention them.
  • They'll see it in their notification bell.
  • The bell also tells you when a teammate assigns you a task, and it now checks for new things about once a minute, so an invoice that just became overdue or a new lead shows up without you reloading the page.

The notification bell now shows what needs your attention

  • At the top of the bell you'll now see things to act on: overdue invoices, accounting syncs that failed or a subscription that ended, new leads from your website forms, and your tasks that are due soon or overdue.
  • They clear by themselves once the problem is fixed, and the Notifications page has a new Needs attention filter.

Trend lines and an invoice collection ring on your dashboard

  • The clients, projects and revenue cards now show a small six-month trend line, so you can see which way things are moving without opening a report.
  • A new Invoice Collection tile shows how much of what you've billed has been paid, is still outstanding, or is overdue, as a ring with the percentage collected.
  • You can move, resize or remove it like any other tile.

A more colorful dashboard

  • Your dashboard cards now each have a colored icon, so clients, projects, invoices and revenue are easy to tell apart at a glance.
  • An icon turns red when a card needs attention, like overdue invoices.
  • The widgets below them follow suit, with a colored icon and matching links.
  • Client Activity now names the client and links to what they did.

A notification panel you can act from

  • The bell now opens a panel under it instead of taking you to a separate page.
  • Each notification names the client and goes straight to the invoice, proposal, contract, ticket or message it is about.
  • You can mark everything read in one click, or show only what's new.
  • The full list is still one click away.
  • Opening a notification marks it read, and what you've read is remembered on your account, so the count is the same on every device.
  • The Notifications page is also redesigned: grouped by day, with filters for invoices, proposals and contracts, messages and tickets, and files and forms.

A tidier sidebar, grouped by what you're doing

  • Your sidebar is now grouped into Work, Clients and Money, with the tools you open less often folded under More.
  • Team moved into Settings, and Recurring invoices and Templates are now one click from Invoices and Projects.
  • Client Portal stays in the sidebar while you set up your portal, then steps aside once your welcome page is saved.
  • Any app has a Show in sidebar switch on its page in Apps, so you decide what stays in view.

QuickBooks tells you when its subscription is the problem

  • If your QuickBooks Online subscription or trial ends or is paused, QuickBooks stops taking new invoices.
  • Orbinly now says so in plain words, on the QuickBooks page and on its tile in Apps, instead of showing a technical error on every invoice.
  • The owners and admins of your workspace also get one email when it starts, not one per invoice, and one more when it's working again.
  • Renew in QuickBooks, then press Retry all on the Activity tab; your invoices stay safe in Orbinly meanwhile.

QuickBooks Online and Xero: send your invoices to your books automatically

  • Xero now works the same way QuickBooks Online does.
  • Connect it from Apps and every invoice you send is recorded in your books, approved and marked as sent, with the customer added as a contact if they aren't there yet.
  • Edits to an invoice after it was sent are updated in Xero, a payment is recorded when the invoice is paid, and voiding an invoice voids it there too.
  • The tax matches what you sent to the cent.
  • Orbinly also keeps the connection alive in the background, so a quiet few weeks doesn't make Xero or QuickBooks drop it.
  • If one ever does, the page tells you to reconnect.
  • A workspace connects one accounting provider at a time, and invoices in other currencies aren't sent to Xero yet.

10 updates

API & webhooks now have their own page in Apps

  • Your API key, your webhook endpoints and a delivery log that shows what was sent and whether it arrived are now on one page under Apps, listed with your other connectors.
  • The tile tells you when webhook deliveries have failed in the last week.
  • Creating new API keys and webhooks now requires the Starter plan or above everywhere, not just on the page, and anything you already set up keeps working.

Integrations is now Embedded tools, inside Apps

  • The app that puts a booking calendar, a form or a video in your clients' portal is now called Embedded tools, and its gallery and your tools are on its own page under Apps.
  • Your clients still see the same tab in their portal, and old links to Integrations still work.

Automations now live in their app page

  • Your rules, their run history and the New automation button are now the Rules tab of the Automations app under Apps.
  • The sidebar link takes you straight there, and old links to Settings → Automations still work.

Client Portal now lives in Apps, with its settings in one place

  • The welcome page editor is the Welcome page tab of the Client Portal app, and the sign-in message, privacy and terms links, portal menu and default dashboard layout are together under its Settings tab.
  • Switching between tabs keeps what you've typed but haven't saved, and old links to Settings → Client Portal still work.

AI Assistant settings now live in its app page

  • Tune the AI Assistant's tone and see today's usage under Apps, on the AI Assistant's own page, instead of in Settings.
  • Old links to the Settings page still take you there.

Autoresponder and Data Exporter now live in their app pages

  • The Autoresponder's hours and reply, and the Data Exporter's CSV downloads, are now on each app's own page under Apps.
  • The sidebar links take you straight there, and your old bookmarks still work.

Every app now has its own page in Apps

  • Under Your apps, Manage opens a page for that app with what it does, what it works with, a button to open it and a button to remove it.
  • Invoices and Packages show whether Stripe is connected and take you straight to set it up.

Stripe now has its own page in Apps

  • You can connect Stripe, finish its setup, check where it stands and open your Stripe dashboard from one page under Apps.
  • The same page lets you disconnect Stripe, and tells you what stops when you do.
  • Billing now just points there for payment collection and keeps your Orbinly plan and payment method.

QuickBooks and Xero now have their own pages in Apps

  • Each accounting connector now has its own page under Apps, with its connection, its settings and what it has sent in separate tabs, instead of one page under Settings.
  • Settings → Accounting and Settings → Connectors have moved: old links still work and take you to the right page.
  • A tile in the Connectors section now always says where it stands, and why when it isn't available.

Apps: search, and connectors in their own section

  • The Apps page now has two tabs: a Marketplace for finding and adding apps, and Your apps, a list of everything that's on or connected.
  • You can search by name, and apps and connectors sit in separate sections so they're easy to tell apart.
  • QuickBooks Online and Stripe appear in the Connectors section.
  • Click one to see what it does and what it needs, then connect it from there.
  • If invoices didn't reach QuickBooks, or your Stripe setup isn't finished, the tile says so.

4 updates

Due dates now show the right day

  • Due dates, "valid until" dates and recurring invoice dates could appear one day early in the app for anyone in the Americas, so an invoice due on the 15th showed as the 14th.
  • They now show the day you picked, everywhere: invoices, projects, milestones, tasks, requests, proposals and contracts, in both your admin and your clients' portal.
  • Something due today now stays "due today" until the day is over, and appears in your dashboard's upcoming deadlines.
  • An invoice becomes overdue the morning after its due date, not on the due date itself.

Edit an invoice after you create it

  • Invoices now have an Edit option in the menu on each row.
  • Change the line items, tax, due date or notes of a draft, or of an invoice you've already sent, and your client sees the update in their portal.
  • For a sent invoice you can also choose to email the client about the change.
  • Its client and currency stay as they were, and paid or voided invoices can't be edited.
  • If you've connected QuickBooks Online, the changes are sent there too.

Void an invoice you sent by mistake

  • You can now void a sent, viewed or overdue invoice from the menu on its row in Invoices.
  • A voided invoice can no longer be paid, stays in your list marked Void, and is voided in QuickBooks too if you've connected it.
  • Voiding asks you to confirm first and can't be undone.
  • A paid invoice can't be voided, and a draft can simply be deleted.

QuickBooks Online: send your invoices to your books automatically

  • Connect QuickBooks Online under Settings, Accounting and every invoice you send is recorded in your books for you.
  • Orbinly adds the customer, the invoice with its lines, tax and any discount, and the payment when it's paid.
  • Edits to an invoice after it was sent are updated in QuickBooks, and voiding an invoice voids it there too.
  • You can send older invoices from a date you choose, after checking how many would go.
  • A list on the Accounting page shows what reached QuickBooks and what didn't, in plain words, with Retry buttons.
  • Orbinly also retries once a day on its own.
  • Accounting sync is available on the Professional plan and above, and isn't available while HIPAA safeguards mode is on.

3 updates

Lead forms: turn website visitors into deals

  • You can now put a contact form on your website and have every enquiry land in your pipeline as a deal.
  • Build it under Forms, in the new Lead forms tab, choose what each question fills in, and share the link or paste an embed code onto your own site.
  • Each enquiry shows up in Deals with a Website form tag, and you get an email.
  • When you convert the deal into a client, their company, phone and answers come across, and you can send any answer to a custom field on the client.
  • The form is protected from spam, can ask for consent before it's sent, and only appears on the websites you allow.
  • Free workspaces accept up to 100 submissions a month.
  • Lead forms are not available while HIPAA safeguards mode is on.

Totals keep each currency separate everywhere

  • If you invoice in more than one currency, every total now shows each currency on its own, for example "$11,060.00 · €1,200.00", instead of adding them together.
  • This covers the dashboard cards, the footers on your invoice, project, client, proposal, contract and deal lists, client and project pages, and your clients' portal balance.
  • Invoice amounts on client and project pages now use the invoice's own currency symbol, exports include a currency column, and the dashboard revenue chart's axis labels are correct.
  • A client's portal balance also now includes invoices they've viewed but not yet paid.

Recurring invoices now include tax, and Analytics handles several currencies

  • Recurring invoices have a new tax rate field.
  • Every invoice the schedule creates now adds that tax, and your client is billed, emailed and charged the total.
  • Before, recurring invoices were always created with no tax.
  • If you invoice in more than one currency, Analytics now shows one currency at a time with a switcher under the title, instead of adding euros and dollars together.
  • The revenue chart's axis labels are also correct for smaller amounts.
